Hello,

I was born in Paris, France in 1958.  It would be nice to say that I grew up studying in famous European art institutes and plein-air painting in the French country sides.  However, before I even knew all my colors, my family moved to a quaint New Jersey town along the Navesink River near the Atlantic Ocean.  With only a hop skip and a jump to the shore, I grew up walking on seawalls and treasure hunting on the beach.  With my feet in the sand and the sun on face, my heart was happy.

Although art was my favorite subject throughout school, the thought of becoming an artist just seemed like a dream that was too far away.  Nevertheless, I pursued drawing and design in college which lead me to a career as a graphic artist.  For 10 years I enjoyed working with award winning studios and design firms.

The true masterpiece of my life became our daughters, and I was further blessed with the opportunity to stay home and raise them.  This enabled me to view the world through new eyes.  Crayons, Play Dough, and Mr. Potato Head soon became the tools of my craft.

As our daughters became fully engaged in school, I enrolled in painting classes and reconnected with the creativity that always lived inside of me.  With encouragement from family, I established a studio in my home in North Carolina, began painting more, attending workshops, and taking more advanced classes.  I continue to challenge myself working in a variety of mediums, yet oils remain my favorite.

Most of my work is commissioned and hangs in homes in New York, New Jersey, Kentucky, and North Carolina.  While I may not be eating fresh croissants or walking in the sand every day, I’m finding treasure in my studio where my heart is happiest these days.

I welcome any comments or questions.

Thanks for looking at my work, and I hope it makes your heart happy too!
